Cloning of QTL involved in seed filling
In recent years, QTLs involved in seed filling have been identified from several recombinant inbred line populations. Fine mapping allows identifying the gene responsible for one seed oil and protein content QTL. The functional analysis of this gene, a Mitogen Activated protein kinase, is in progress in order to understand its role in seed filling.

Screening of an homozygous EMS mutant library
Seeds from 590 lines of an homozygous EMS mutant collection in Col-0 background (Capilla-Perez et al., 2018) were phenotyped by near-infrared spectrometry. These lines have a high variability in oil and protein content. Several of these mutants, with contrasting storage compound composition, have been selected and a mapping by sequencing approach has been undertaken to identify the genes involved.

Construction and development of a phenotyping robot "Phenoscope XL"
This robot allows 407 plants to be grown automatically from seed to seed. The objective of this tool is to minimize the effect of environmental variations.
It also allows cultivating plants under different stress (water, nutritional, etc…).
