External recruitment campagne: 1 Engineer (IE) and 1 Technician positions (M/F) at the IJPB
Opening for a position as chemist engineer position in plant metabolism analysis
Your mission
You will apply your expertise in analytical chemistry and mass spectrometry to projects aimed at evaluating and predicting, at the molecular level, the relationships between structure and function of various types of plant-derived molecules and their roles in communication with their abiotic (water, nutrition) and biotic (allelopathy, plant/microorganism, plant/insect) environments, with a view to evolving agricultural practices.
The strengths of "The Plant Observatory - Cytology/Imaging" platform
You will join "The Plant Observatory - Chemistry/Metabolism" plateform PO-Chem team of the IBISA-certified Regional Strategic Platform "Plant Observatory" OV at IJPB, equipped with 5 chromatography-mass spectrometry systems. The team comprises 5 chemists and mass spectrometrists. Your activities will be supervised by the platform managers (A. Voxeur, Research Scientist, and F. Perreau, Research Engineer).

Opening for a position as biology technician in cytology and imaging
Your mission
Under the supervision of the scientific and technical managers and in collaboration with the other permanent staff of the platform, your mission will be to support the platform’s expansion by ensuring the maintenance and proper functioning of optical equipment and assisting user teams (approximately 100 regular users).
The strengths of the the OV-Cytology/Imaging Platform
The PO-Cyto platform provides a wide range of equipment and expertise to unit members and beyond. It houses an extensive collection of optical instruments, including four confocal microscopes, a laser microdissector, nine fluorescence microscopes, a benchtop electron microscope, a flow cytometer, several high-capacity fluorescence stereomicroscopes, and an automated slide scanner. Additionally, two super-resolution microscopes (STORM and STED) have recently been installed. The OV-Cytology platform has seven permanent staff members (3.7 full-time equivalents) and is managed by two research directors and one research engineer, overseeing scientific and operational aspects, respectively.
