Looking back at the 2026 INRAE BAP division PhD and Postdoctoral Researchers' Days

organised by the IJPB from 27 to 29 May 2026, INRAE, Versailles

These two days, marked by a high scientific standard, brought together 56 early-career researchers and provided numerous opportunities for discussion and networking. The programme included around twenty oral presentations, flash talks, a round-table discussion, and poster sessions featuring a total of 34 posters.

The round table, on the theme of private sector, was carefully prepared in advance and brought together four invited speakers:
> Laura de Biolley, Neoplant
> Frank Chopin, Bayer
> Mathieu Gourgues, Bayer
> Hayat Sehki, Thalya
It led to in-depth and engaging discussions, offering young researchers valuable insights into the world of industry and career opportunities beyond academia.

Participants from the IJPB particularly excelled, winning all three oral presentation awards as well as all three poster prizes.

The outstanding synergy within the organising committee was a key factor in the success of the 2026 JDD. The remarkable cohesion of its 13 members (see news i18/05/26) strengthened ties within the group and ensured the smooth running of the event.
