The IJPB will participate in this day with a Conference-quiz: Biotechnologies and agriculture, a scientific workshop, visits of greenhouses and laboratories. 75 high school students will be welcomed.
Workshop: Dust grains: pollens
What do they look like? How do they travel? You will discover the richness of the world of pollens during this observation workshop and more particularly that of the "green mouse" of the laboratories working on plants: the lady's crab!
The "Fascination of Plants Day", in partnership with INRAE, the event's coordinator in France, was created in 2012 under the aegis of the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Its ambition is to promote the importance of plants in our daily lives and research work conducted in the field of plants.
Each year, around May 18, many events throughout France and the world provide an opportunity to create a link between the public and the world of plants.
To date, more than 50 countries are partners of the event.
