The IJPB hosts the 2026 General Assembly of the Plant Pillar BRC4Plants of the National Research Infrastructure RARe
15-18 June 2026, INRAE, Versailles
From 15 to 18 June 2026, the IJPB will host the General Assembly (GA) of the Plant Pillar BRC4Plants of the French National Research Infrastructure RARe “French Network of Biological Resource Centers for agricultural, Environmental and Life Sciences“ which is included in the National Roadmap of the "Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation" MESRI.
RARe brings together five Biological Resource Centre (BRC) networks, known as pillars:
> Animal
> Environment
> Forest
> Microorganism
> Plant
The Plants pillar, BRC4Plants, provides the scientific community with access to genomic resources maintained by the "The French Plant Genomic Resources Center" CNRGV, as well as genetic resources maintained by the network of Genetic Resource Centers of French agronomic research and higher education establishments.
As a member of BRC4Plants, the "Plant Observatory - Versailles Arabidopsis Stock Center" plateform PO-VASC is organising the 2026 GA of BRC4Plants in collaboration with Valérie Bergheaud, operational coordinator of BRC4Plants for the “Plant Biology and Breeding” BAP INRAE division. The 2026 GA will provide an opportunity to showcase research conducted using these collections, discuss their visibility and long-term valorisation, and address key topics such as training, conservation strategies and data management for plant genetic resources. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover the various platforms and facilities of The Plant Observatory OV.
