Paul Schouveiler PhD student IJPB winner of the "Mécénat Jeunes Talents" 2025 competition
Paul Schouveiler, a PhD student in the "Germination Physiology" PHYGERM team under the co-supervision of Jean-Denis Faure and Julia Zinmeister, is winner of the award 2025 "Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France Patronage Scholarship" from the French Academy of Agriculture. He was awarded 2000€ to supplement his travel grant for a scientific stay in Prof. Mathew Lewsey's laboratory at La Trobe University, Australia, as well as to give an oral presentation at the "International Society for Seed Sciences 2025" ISSS 2025 conference in Perth. His work will focus on single-cell analyses of seeds from abscissic acid (ABA)-related mutants in Arabidopsis. To further support his stay, the team also secured a 2025 PHC FASIC French-Australian grant, and the PhD student also obtained individual funding from Saclay Plants Sciences SPS mobility and Graduate school Biosphera from the Université Paris-Saclay.
