Revisiting the role of LEAFY in the light of UFO - Tuesday, March 18th 2025, 10 am, INRAE, Versailles
The LEAFY transcription factor is a key regulator of flower development in all angiosperms. In arabidopsis, it contributes to the emergence of the flower meristem, its floral identity and its patterning. Using an integrated structural biology approach, we recently understood how LFY performs part of these functions interacting with the UFO protein. We are now investigating the existence of this mechanism with and outside angiosperms.
