The "Fascination of Plants Day 2021" celebrated by IJPB

A world day to celebrate plants... that will last a whole year ! 100% virtual for IJPB.
Whether you are passionate about plants or just eager for knowledge, you will find something to satisfy your curiosity!

As the world's largest producer of biomass, plants are essential for food (human and animal), health, energy production and are the subject of new uses.

The "Fascination of Plants Day", in partnership with INRAE, the event's coordinator in France, was created in 2012 under the aegis of the European Plant Science Organization (EPSO), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Its ambition is to promote the importance of plants in our daily lives and research work conducted in the field of plants.

Each year, around May 18, many events throughout France and the world provide an opportunity to create a link between the public and the world of plants.
To date, more than 50 countries are partners of the event.
