Sandrine LEFRANC Engineer

Engineer | Modeling and Digital Imaging

I am an engineer at INRAE Versailles, France. I have a Ph.D. in medical image processing, which was awarded by the University of Paris Saclay in 2015. During my thesis, my interests included computer science, MRI and its application to neuroscience using different imaging techniques such as diffusion MRI to study structural brain connectivity. I have gained experience in installing and configuring operating systems and application software related to High Performance Computing (HPC) and parallel architectures.

More recently, I have been actively involved in challenging research projects focusing on the application of deep learning techniques to plant imaging. In these projects, I primarily work with 3D+time image data. Overall, whether using deep learning or conventional methods, my focus remains on image analysis and processing, with the aim of extracting meaningful insights and developing innovative solutions. I am also in charge of software development.
