Together with Samuel Rebulard, Associate Professor at Paris-Saclay University, Nicolas Bouché, INRAE research director and team leader of VarEpi, led the "Biodiversity" conference in Rouen, aimed at senior State officials as part of an ecological transition training program established in 2022 under the initiative of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne and the Minister for Public Transformation and Civil Service, Stanislas Guerini. This conference brought together more than 100 participants.
This training consists of several stages, totaling 28 hours, including a series of conferences led by scientists who present the current state of knowledge on the three major crises we are facing: the climate crisis, the biodiversity crisis, and the natural resources crisis. The training allows senior State officials to deepen their understanding of the challenges of ecological planning and the public policies that arise from it.
Topics covered:
> Climate: Evolution, emission reduction, adaptation, and resilience to changes
> Resources: Sustainable use and innovations to better preserve our natural resources
> Biodiversity: How to protect and restore our local environment
