Genetic editing and consumer acceptability: the example of camelina - Tuesday, March 25th 2025, 11 am, INRAE, Versailles
Despite some recent attention given to the camelina due to its potential as a cover crop or a sustainable source for jet fuel, this oilseed remains unknown by many consumers and is still a minor crop. Understanding consumer perception and acceptance for new oil would be important for crop and food diversification in the context of sustainable transition. This talk investigates French consumer perception of traditional or edited camelina oil through sensory evaluation and information disclosure, focusing on liking scores and willingness to pay.
