The IJPB at the 15th edition of Esprit Jardin
Esprit Jardin was launched 15 years ago and brings together more than 20,000 people, who love plants and gardens. This major event is an opportunity to make young and older people aware of science in a context where they do not expect it. The public will discover different facets of plants, awaken their curiosity and get answers.
After the success of its first participation on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2021 (news), the IJPB renews since the experience (2022).
A new workshop this year at the program:
When the seed meets the water!
Thanks to small experiments, come and discover the mucilage, this compound appearing around the seed when it is plunged in water.
You can also enrich your knowledge about seeds with games.
You will get to know the plants studied at the IJPB and the different ways of growing the "green mouse" of the plant research laboratories: the lady's cress, a plant of the Brassicaceae family (ex Cruciferae), a small cousin of cabbage, radish, rapeseed, pope's coin.
Meet us on the 14th and 15th of May from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Place de la cathédrale Saint-Louis in Versailles, along the rue Saint-Honoré at the level of the Saint-Louis passage.
