Junior Professorship position
Plant genome editing to support new cropping systems and products or services
To meet the challenges of the transition to sustainable agriculture, the development of agro-ecological cropping systems is becoming a priority. However the complexity of these new cropping systems, with the introduction of service plants and the diversification of rotations, is limiting their implementation. The aim of the Junior Professorship would be to offer an integrated range of training and expertise in Genome Editing technologies and for the agro-ecological transition. The approach will be multi-criteria and multi-scale, ranging from the laboratory to the field, but also from determining the trait of interest to its valorization in varieties and cropping systems in line with the principles of agroecology. This Chair project is in line with the priorities of AgroParisTech and 3 of its departments (SVS, SIAFEE and MMIP), as well as INRAE's BAP department. The Chair will federate the research activities of 3 UMR AgroParisTech-INRAE, IJPB, ECOSYS and MIA Paris-Saclay.
