Six IJPB projects selected following the PEPR SVA call for statements of interest
The IJPB is internationally recognised for its expertise in genome editing, thanks to a robust ecosystem (17 teams of experts, working on 14 species), which includes the coordination of two targeted projects (TYPEX and DIALOG) and the distributed infrastructure (IDPS) of the PEPR Advanced Plant Selection (SVA). In the new IJPB trajectory (2026–2030), a flagship project “Development of new breeding technologies in plants: from lab to field”, will position the IJPB at the forefront of plant breeding technologies and its use in agroecology, linking methodology, varietal development, evaluation, training and knowledge dissemination. The selection of the six IJPB projects in the PEPR SVA 2025 call for proposals will make a major contribution to enhancing the ongoing research.
